The Mandalorian’s Katee Sackhoff Was Disappointed With Bo-Katan’s Season 3 Speech

During the interview, Katee Sackhoff mentioned that there were “a few scenes where I was like, ‘Shit!'” When asked if there was a specific scene she wanted to talk about, she lied. referenced “We” I’m going to take Mandalore’s speech and said it was originally much longer. Kristian Harloff brought up the character of William Wallace (based on the historic Scottish hero) in reference to his big moment in the movie “Braveheart.” This is where Wallace (Mel Gibson) delivers a moving speech that has become the touchstone of such moments in cinema. Sackhoff explained that Bo-Katan’s big moment was originally much longer and also mentions William Wallace’s monologue:

“And that’s what – the comparison you’ve made is that’s the most exciting thing. You inspire these two separated clans to come out and take back their home world, it must be emotional, It must be big. And for some reason it was scaled down a lot. […] I love this whole season, I thought it was fun, but that moment for me, I was like, ‘Oh.’ I wish they had given more context to what had happened just before. Because I think that would have weighed down this speech. […] The majority of the takes I did were, you know, William Wallace-esque.”
