It’s been almost four months since the world learned that Tom Sandoval cheated on Ariana Madix with Raquel Leviss.
And to say that life has changed for the cast of Vanderpump Rules would put very, very lightly.
Even though the Scandoval resulted in a major ratings boost, the show’s future is uncertain, as few cast members can stomach being in the room with either Toms for a while. long time.
Yes, Tom Schwartz was complicit in his best friend’s infidelity, and as a result, he’s not too popular with his castmates these days.
Worse still, Schwartz is Sandoval’s business partner, and the bar they own together is said to have been jeopardized by the latter Tom’s infidelity.
In fact, to hear Jax Taylor say it, the joint is on its way out, and fellow investors are hoping to put Sandoval on the curb.
“I’ve been there three times four times, and the last time I was there, [it] wasn’t that busy,” Taylor said on Claudia Oshry’s “The Toast” podcast.
“But I think maybe I was there on a night off. I don’t know, it was 10 a.m. on a Thursday,” Jax added, prompting Oshry to note that Thursday is usually a big night for bars in West Hollywood.
Jax added that other Schwartz & Sandy owners are “trying to buy [out]Sandoval.
“In fact, they offered me, if I was interested, to take over. Can you imagine? Taylor added.
“I don’t know if it was a solid offer or not. I was at the bar late at night, and one of the managers or owners of Schwartz & Sandy’s [was] like, ‘Hey, we want to get rid of Tom Sandoval. We want to find another buyer. Would you be interested?'”
Jax – who claimed sobriety as part of his efforts to clean up his image – admitted he was ‘drinking’ at the time and declined the offer for fear of his reluctance to make a major decision as he was drunk.
He also told Oshry he “couldn’t do that to Tom Schwartz” and added that owning a bar was “a lot of work” and “a lot of pressure”.
From there, Jax recounted a recent incident where Sandoval invited Brittany Cartwright to come see her band play.
“That’s how deaf and selfish [Sandoval] is,” Taylor said.
“His band was performing in Louisville. He texted Brittany… “Hey, if you have any friends in Louisville, [I would] a pleasure to see you. Come [see] my group. I will get you free passes,” he continued.
Jax says the unwanted contact caused him to break out on Sandoval:
“I looked at the phone. I’m going… ‘Are you serious?’ “, he recalls.
“I went to my phone, and I was like, ‘Never text my wife again. How dare you. … How selfish and deaf are you? You realize that Brittany is friends with all those girls? What do you think she’s gonna do?” Jax added, prompting Oshry to describe Sandoval as a “true narcissist.”
“It’s like a serial killer who kills his family and then goes to the bar,” Jax said.
It seems a bit of a stretch – especially coming from a narcissistic co-worker like Jax – but current and former VPR cast members seem to have no filters when it comes to Sandoval.
Taylor ended the interview by going for the ultimate low blow and insulting Sandoval’s musical ability.
“He wants to be a rock star, it’s just who he is, it’s just who he wants to be,” he said, adding:
“You should have dreams and goals etc, but keep them in your living room. … It’s bad.”
Well, if there’s anyone who knows how to sit at home, it’s Jax Taylor’s unemployed ass.
Sorry, Sandoval is evil, but Jax is at least as disgusting.
