The film adaptation of the novel by SJ Watson has a fairly unique plot, about a middle-aged woman named Christine (Nicole Kidman) who wakes up in bed with a strange man. The man introduces himself as Ben (Colin Firth), Christine’s husband.
Christine, who had amnesia due to an accident a few years earlier, can’t remember anything about her marriage. Ben tries to help his wife’s memory recover, but she shows some strange behavior.
- The Girl On the Train (2016)
Paula Hawkins published the novel The Girl On the Train in 2015. His novel has managed to steal the attention of many people and is very in demand in the market.
Tells the story of Rachel (Emily Blunt) who becomes depressed after a divorce from her ex-husband, Watch (Justin Theroux). Every day, Rachel uses the train as a means of transportation. From inside the train, he always pays attention to a young couple who live near the tracks named Megan (Halley Bannet) and Scott (Luke Evans). Megan and Scott’s house is next to Tom’s with his new wife, Anna (Rebecca Ferguson).
- The Woman in the Window (2021)
Tells the story of a psychologist named Anna Fox (Amy Adams) who is caught in a confusing situation, this film is based on the novel of the same name by A.J Finn.
Anna suffers from a phobia of rooms that look foreign to her which makes her never socialize with local residents.
- Shutter Island (2010)
Director Martin Scorsese hooked Leonardo DiCaprio as the main character named Edward. He and his partner, Chuck (Mark Ruffalo) are sent to a mental hospital located on a remote island to investigate the disappearance of a patient named Rachel Soliando.
The film adapted from the novel of the same name by Deenis Lehanne is definitely no stranger to true thriller lovers. The duration of almost two hours feels less because this film has an interesting premise that makes the audience will be carried away in the story presented.
