Recently, the leak of One Piece 1054 spread in cyberspace and surprised many fans. After a month-long hiatus, fans finally know what will happen in One Piece 1054. One of the highlights in One Piece 1054 is the appearance of a new character explained through the Chinese zodiac theory or Shio, namely Kurouma.
What do you think about Shio’s theory regarding Kurouma’s arrival in One Piece 1054?
One of the good news from the latest chapter of One Piece is the appearance of Kurouma. It is known, Kurouma is the Head of the Marine Investigation Unit.
Although this introduction reveals some important information, fans are more concerned with Kurouma’s appearance, as well as the translation of his name to ‘dark horse’, which relates to a certain theory.
This theory has taken several forms over the years, fans are now trying to apply it to the Marine Admiral’s chain of command with the recent introduction of Kurouma and Ryokugyu.
The Shio Theory began as a means to explain that the Straw Hats would end up with a total of 13 members, each equated with a sign on the Chinese zodiac. If the numbers seem missing, it’s because they are, with only 12 signs in the actual Chinese zodiac. Thor: Love and Thunder pelicula online. However, the theory takes into account that cats are often referred to as the informal 13th sign of the zodiac.
With this, the numbers line up for each of the 13 Straw Hats that are claimed to correspond to one of the 13 zodiac signs.
Including the informally included cat.
The information for this theory is based on Chapter 651’s color spread, which sees each of the Straw Hats positioned next to an animal that can be likened to Shio.
Further supporting evidence also comes from SBS questions, where serial writer and illustrator Eiichiro Oda answers fan questions and associates the Straw Hats with certain signs.
This theory was first established long before Yamato joined the crew, initially assuming that he would join the crew and associating it with the dog sign.
Followed by established crew members, Chopper was paired with a rat, Franky with a bull, Zoro with a tiger, Usopp with a snake, Brook with a horse, Sanji with a goat, Luffy with a monkey, Robin with a rooster, Jinbe with a wild boar, and Nami with the cat.
With Yamato already confirmed to join the crew in One Piece 1054, this leaves both the rabbit mark and the dragon mark. The first part is rather self-explanatory, with the most likely answer being for Carrot to join the crew and be equated with the symbol.
Dragons, however, are a little harder to spot, but have clear candidates after the One Piece 1054 leak.
Fans initially thought of the dragon as Momonosuke, which recent events in the manga have proved not to be considering he lives in Wano.
However, with the latest details in the upcoming issue, fans suspect Vivi Nefertari will be the one to fulfill the role of the dragon, as she is a descendant of the Heavenly Dragon.
While the Nefertari family initially refused the status and right to live in Mariejois, their contemporaries’ ancestral origins still made them part of the Celestial Dragon group.
It would be Vivi’s obvious connection to the dragon mark if she ever joins the crew, which seems very likely given the latest leak for One Piece 1054.
Kurouma’s introduction, however, has now made fans ponder whether or not the theory can be applied to the Marine Admiral’s chain of command.
Several Twitter accounts run by fans of the series have even begun to equate every sign with Marines of Admiral level or higher seen so far in the series.
The latest version of the Chinese zodiac theory seems to have identified seven similarities, with two in question and three remaining as a mystery. The concrete sevens are paired as Chaton with the wild boar, Akainu with the dog, Kizaru with the monkey, Kurouma with the horse, Momousagi with the rabbit, Fujitora with the tiger, and Ryokugyu with the ox.
Each of these characters is an Admiral or chosen to potentially become an Admiral at one time or another.
The two relationships in question are Sengoku with a goat (thanks to his pet goat friend who is always seen with him) and Aokiji with a rooster (Aokiji translates to ‘blue bird’).
The three symbols left to match are the rat, snake, and dragon, with some suggesting that the latter could be the Monkey D Dragon. It would be a theory that Dragon was once an Admiral in the Marines, thanks to the status and influence of his father, Garp.
While neither theory has come to fruition enough to confirm, there is a plethora of evidence for both. In addition, the two groups that bear similarities to the Chinese zodiac could indicate a potential fight for the final war to come, which Oda has been alluding to for a long time.
Certainly the latest info for One Piece 1054 has given further credence to the two variations of the Shio theory.
