Hulu has released the official trailer for the long-awaited return of the beloved adult anime series “Futurama,” with ten all-new episodes premiering weekly Mondays on Hulu starting July 24.
The show crawled triumphantly from the cryo tube with its original cast complete and its spirit intact. The ten all-new episodes will be able to embrace viewers as longtime fans recognize the gains of the decades-old mysteries.
There are developments in Fry and Leela’s epic love story, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of the evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles.
Meanwhile, there’s a brand new pandemic in town as the team explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV. The release marks the first half of a twenty-episode order by Hulu for more of the Matt Groening-created series.
The animated sci-fi comedy first aired in 1999 on FOX before being canceled after four seasons. Four DTV movies followed, which became the fifth season, with Comedy Central then airing two more seasons from 2010 to 2013.
The full voice cast returns, including Billy West as Fry/Farnsworth/Zoidberg/Zapp Brannigan, John DiMaggio as Bender, Katey Sagal as Leela, Phil LaMarr as Hermes, Lauren Tom as Amy Wong, Maurice LaMarche as Kif Kroker /calculon/Morbo, David Herman as Scruffy/Wernstrom and Tress MacNeille as Mom.
