With three weeks to go before the premiere, Lucasfilm has released another TV spot for its “Star Wars: Ahsoka” series.
The clip offers a better look at the various bad guys and Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s Sabine Wren returning from “Star Wars Rebels,” which this series serves as something of a live-action continuation of.
Set after her appearances in “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett,” the show follows Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy following the fall of the Empire.
The cast also includes Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as the droid Huyang, Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.
Dave Filoni wrote all the episodes while also directing further episodes with Peter Ramsey, Steph Green, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa also directing. There’s also a new gallery of stills from the series up at EW.
“Star Wars: Ahsoka” launches with a double episode premiere on August 23rd on the Disney+ service with the remaining episodes airing weekly.
