Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” director Jeff Rowe has taken to Twitter to confirm a suspicion from audience members – that a scene in the film is directly inspired by the hallway scene in Park Chan-wook’s 2003 classic “Oldboy”.

The scene sees Donatello beating up some guys at a pool bar but in the same wide-angle shot and composition as the scene in “Oldboy”. Rowe says: “This is 100% the inspiration, and I’ve been trying to put an ‘Old Boy’ hammer fight in everything I’ve done since ‘Gravity Falls.’ Glad we finally got one in!” [Source: Twitter]
