Mel Gibson is back in the crime thriller Confidential Informant based on real events.
This crime thriller is a cat-and-mouse chase with narcotics agents in a murderous plan to rob a criminal crack house with internal affairs hot on their heels.
The film stars Dominic Purcell (prison Break, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Mel Gibson (Brave heart, lethal weapon), Nick Stahl (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, The faceless man), and Kate Bosworth (blue crush, The Return of Superman).
Here is the official synopsis of Confidential Informant:
This crime thriller starring Mel Gibson tells the story of two narcotics officers on the hunt for a cop killer during a crack outbreak. Hoping to find leads, Moran (Dominic Purcell) and Thorton (Nick Stahl) pay off a junkie informant. To support his wife (Kate Bosworth) and son, Moran involves the stool pigeon in a deadly scheme. This causes the partners to be watched by a suspicious internal affairs agent, which leads to an explosive finale.
Confidential Informant is available on demand and digitally on June 27, 2023. It follows a theatrical release on June 30, 2023.
