New trailer: “Nimona”

Netflix has released another trailer for its animated film adaptation of ND Stevenson’s graphic novel “Nimona” which will be released on the service on June 30.

When Ballister Boldheart (Riz Ahmed), a knight in a futuristic medieval world, is framed for a crime he didn’t commit, the only one who can help prove his innocence is Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz), a mischievous teenager with a taste for chaos. She also happens to be a shapeshifting creature that Ballister has been trained to destroy.

But with the whole kingdom searching for her, Nimona is the best (or technically the only) sidekick Ballister could hope for. And as the lines between heroes, villains and monsters begin to blur, the two set out to wreak some serious havoc – for Ballister to clear his name once and for all, and for Nimona to wreak some serious havoc. .

(function (d, s, b) { var mElmt, primisElmt = d.createElement(‘script’); primisElmt.setAttribute(‘type’, ‘text/javascript’); primisElmt.setAttribute(‘async’,’async’ ); primisElmt.setAttribute(‘src’, s); var elmtInterval = setInterval(function() { mElmt = d.getElementById(b); if (mElmt) { mElmt.parentNode.insertBefore(primisElmt, mElmt.nextSibling); mElmt .parentNode.removeChild(mElmt); return clearInterval(elmtInterval); } }, 20); })(document, ‘’, ‘widgetLoaded’ );

The project was set at 20th Century Fox’s Blue Sky Studios (“Rio”, “Ice Age”) until they were closed by Disney despite the majority of the film being completed.

Later, Annapurna Pictures and then Netflix joined the film to complete and distribute it. Eugene Lee Yang, Frances Conroy, Lorraine Toussaint, Beck Bennett, RuPaul, Indya Moore, Julio Torres and co-star Sarah Sherman.

Nick Bruno and Troy Quane (“Spies in Disguise”) straight from a screenplay by Robert L. Baird and Lloyd Taylor. Roy Lee, Karen Ryan and Julie Zackary are producing.
