Ahead of the release of her new Netflix action thriller “Heart of Stone,” actress Gal Gadot says she’s ready to focus on projects in which she has serious creative involvement.
Speaking to Total Film recently, she opened up about her future following the cancellation of Patty Jenkins’ third ‘Wonder Woman’. This led her to move away from gigs of paid jobs in favor of something she is more involved in.
She says: For me to start and develop stories that I am passionate about is an incredible thing”. She adds that she feels empowered by the process, which means she doesn’t have to sit at home waiting for the next offer: “I like doing it. It keeps me alive.
Despite the move, she’s not leaving any more gigs behind, warning that she’s “not just going to do my own projects, I’m still going to work as an actress for hire.” Yet it is clear from his comments that much of his passion lies in the creative process:
The fact that I can go ahead and tell the stories that I’m passionate about – from ideas that I’ve come up with or ideas that I find fascinating from people who want to partner with us – it’s is an incredible thing.
The future of Gadot’s role as Wonder Woman is still unclear as Peter Safran and James Gunn take the reins of the DC Universe.
