
Following the teaser in early March, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon have now released the full trailer for the CG-animated “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” feature reboot.
The Turtles voice cast includes Micah Abbey (Donatello), Shamon Brown Jr. (Michelangelo), Nicolas Cantu (Leonardo) and Brady Noon (Raphael), plus Jackie Chan as the voice of wise rat mentor Splinter .
Other cast members include Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Seth Rogen as Bebop, John Cena as Rocksteady, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, Ice Cube as Superfly, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Post Malone as Ray Fillet and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.
The film begins as the Turtle brothers seek to win the hearts of New Yorkers by performing heroic deeds that they hope will make them accept them as normal teenagers.
Meanwhile, they take on a mysterious crime syndicate with the help of their new friend April O’Neil (Edebiri), but find themselves in over their heads when a mutant army is unleashed. The project marks Nickelodeon’s first theatrical CG animated film.
Jeff Rowe (“Gravity Falls,” “The Mitchells vs. the Machines”) directs from a script written by Brendan O’Brien (“Neighbors: Sorority Rising”) with the tone akin to a passing story adulthood . Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver produce.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” opens in theaters August 2.
