Actor Russell Crowe has almost finished being asked about Ridley Scott’s ‘Gladiator’ sequel currently in production.
The Oscar-winning Australian actor attended the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic this week, where he accepted an award for his outstanding contribution to world cinema.
Crowe has shared colorful anecdotes from when an excited tarantula got frisky with her neck on the set of “Rough Magic,” to complaining about “endless beer questions” according to Variety.
However, there’s one topic he’s obviously fed up with and that’s ‘Gladiator 2’. Speaking to reporters at the festival, he said:
“They should be f——paying me for the number of questions I get asked about a movie I’m not even in. It has nothing to do with me. In this world, I am dead. Six feet Under ground. But I admit a certain tinge of jealousy because it reminds me of when I was younger and what that meant to me in my life.
I don’t know anything about the cast, I don’t know anything about the plot. I am dead! But I know that if Ridley decided to do a second part of the story more than 20 years later, he must have had very good reasons. I can’t think of this movie as anything other than spectacular.
Crowe, who will soon be seen in several upcoming films, including “Kraven the Hunter”, “The Georgetown Project” and “Nuremberg”, with him playing Hermann Göring in the latter.
