Rosario Dawson finally talked about Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader appearance in “Star Wars: Ahsoka.”
Dawson stars in “Ahsoka,” reprising his role as “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett” in the series set years after the events of “Return of the Jedi.”
His character debuted in the animated series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars: Rebels” as Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi Padawan and is therefore a pivotal character in his life.
There have long been rumors that Christensen could appear in some flashback to the show. The actor recently reprized the role for the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” miniseries. However, a good part of these were shot down afterwards.
Speaking to Total Film magazine, Dawson was asked the question directly and gave a rather roundabout answer:
“It’s quite remarkable and exciting. We were teenagers, and then I saw him immediately after entering this universe.
I never could have imagined that I would have had a piece of that besides just being a fan of his and being really proud of him.
It’s just really cool that right now I’m joining him, and he was able to come back [in 2022’s Obi-Wan Kenobi] and also being embraced by the Star Wars family in a way that I think is well deserved.
It’s definitely one of those things that would be super cool if it was [in Ahsoka]but I’m really grateful that we’re in the same universe.
This is neither a confirmation nor a denial, although it seems to lean towards the latter. “Ahsoka” also features Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and David Tennant.
“Ahsoka” will arrive on the Disney+ service on August 23.
