Stranger Things season 4 volume 2’s episodes include the longest one yet for the hit Netflix series. Here are the runtimes for the final episodes.
Netflix split the fourth season of its hit series into two parts, and here is how long Stranger Things season 4 volume 2’s episodes are. The long wait between seasons 3 and 4 proved to be worth it for fans. The release of Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 delivered all of the excitement and thrills viewers wanted, but it also left the story unfinished. Eleven regained her powers just as Vecna trapped Nancy in the Upside Down, which came right after viewers learned the truth about Vecna’s identity. It all set up a thrilling conclusion that will come in Stranger Things season 4 volume 2.
After debuting the first seven episodes of season 4 at the end of May 2022, Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 returns on July 1st to bring this portion of the story to a close. Netflix subscribers had previously grown accustomed to the streaming service dropping 13 episodes that were roughly one hour in length a piece all at once. However, Stranger Things season 4 changed up the release model by giving fans seven episodes with extended runtimes. This includes Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 finale’s runtime passing the 90 minute, making it the longest episode of the series to date.
There are still two more episodes to come in Stranger Things season 4 volume 2. Netflix is planning to go all out with these final episodes as both of them have massive runtimes. Stranger Things season 4 volume 2’s episode lengths are as followed: Episode 8 is 1 hour and 25 minutes long and Episode 9 is 2 hours and 19 minutes long. The latter is slightly shorter than the originally reported finale runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Still, Stranger Things season 4 volume 2’s episode runtimes are nearly 4 hours combined.
The final two episodes of Stranger Things season 4 should be packed with story and action for viewers. Stranger Things season 4 episode 8 is titled “Papa,” which could mean it is a big episode for Eleven and leaving Dr. Brenner behind and possibly even reuniting with Hopper. The season 4 finale is titled “The Piggyback,” which does not give any real clues about what will happen. Since Stranger Things season 4 episode 9’s runtime is well over two hours long, there will be plenty of time for the show to wrap up the sprawling storylines currently at play.
The nearly four hours of content will not be the last of Stranger Things’ story, though. Netflix already confirmed that season 5 is happening and will be the final one for the main series. So just as Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 is dealing with wrapping up some current storylines (and possibly killing some major characters), episode 9 will also play a major role in setting up what Stranger Things season 5 will be about. As a result, it should only be a benefit for the Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 episode runtimes to be so long.
