I feel like we’re all feeling creative like we’re in the middle of something that isn’t headed to the end.
According to Star, pregnancy news was something the show was cooking up throughout the season. “I feel like the surprise at the very end informs so much of what the characters were going through earlier, but it just wasn’t revealed until the last moment,” he added.
Razat, for her part, revealed that she wasn’t sure what response to expect from viewers, adding, “My character’s story is definitely very complex. So, I have a strong feeling that people will either hate it or love it.

“Darren and I talk, on occasion, about where he plans to go, but he also doesn’t want to spoil me too much because there’s a fine line,” the actress said. Collider shortly after Season 3 began streaming. “I don’t want to know everything because I want to be guided by the writing, but I’m also curious because as a producer wanting to celebrate the other characters, I’m very curious to see what their trajectories are. I think we have a good balance between communicating about where things are going, but they often don’t know until the stories come out in the room, and they have that experience in the writers room while we let’s turn.
Collins added, “So there’s not always that opportunity to share. We have little sidebars here and there, but I always get excited when I start to discover things. We are all together and in it, so it is special to have these experiences of discovery. It’s funny.”
