Vagabon asks ‘Can I talk about my shit,’ and has earned the right to do so as she launches her album ‘Sorry, I didn’t call’

Vagabon is back with new music. Today (June 15), the Cameroonian singer and instrumentalist announced her third album, Sorry I didn’t call.

Vagabon’s next album, Sorry I didn’t call, will have 12 tracks, including its first single, “Can I Talk My Sh*t?” She shared this single today, along with her music video, which proves she’s earned the right to talk her shit, as she moves perfectly, commanding a desert setting as a stage made for herself .

“Can I talk about my shit?” sets the tone for Sorry I didn’t call, as the album will present her as an unapologetically multi-faceted artist. She wrote and produced much of the album while living in Germany, channeling dance music and effervescent pop styles.

“This whole record is how I talk to my friends and lovers,” Vagabon said in a statement. “I think honesty and conversational songwriting can become poetry. There’s beauty in just talking without metaphors and flowery imagery.

Besides letting go Sorry I didn’t call this fall, Vagabon will embark on an international headlining tour with support from Weyes Blood and Nourished By Time.
