Speaking candidly about the performance in an interview with the daily mail, Abdul revealed, “It was a to-do list moment for me. Ever since I was little, I’ve watched, I mean, I’ve always watched Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
She continued, “I was the kid my parents said to, ‘Paula, get out of your room; the parade is over. I would always be hanging from my window because I was determined to have them marching down my street. So I stayed there for hours.

She added: “It changes the mind and psyche of every human being, and it changes your life for the rest of your life. I love seeing people who are always afraid to dance start dancing, then they start dancing. practice a little bit, and it’s like, where has this been my whole life?”

At the Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s fifth annual gala in Beverly Hills, the former ‘X Factor’ judge also opened up to HEY on how she currently spends her time revealing that she enjoys using the TikTok app.
“TikTok was made for me. I should have done this a long time ago,” she shared. “I’m having a great time, especially working with young talent, being able to convey a lot of wisdom…I love letting them know what they’re up against, what they need to do to pass their auditions, and things like that.”
She revealed that she probably hangs out with her puppies when she’s not on TikTok.
“I always support Lisa’s cause for what she does with her Vanderpump dogs,” she said of Lisa Vanderpump. “For his awareness, for his rally and protest, just the amount of awareness to raise money to rehabilitate dogs, to take care of their medical bills…Having a dog, especially saving a dog, is the most great gift…I can’t imagine not having dogs.I’ve rescued dogs all my life.
