Maya Hawke lied to daddy Ethan in her quest to lose her virginity!
Maya Hawke is the result of a short marriage between her rather famous parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, who married in 1996 but separated in 2003 over infidelity charges (on Hawke). Maya, 24, was born in 1998 and also has a younger brother, Levon, 21.
Recently, she came as a guest on “Watch What Happens Live!” with Bryan Cranston with host Andy Cohen and revealed a fun story about his teenage years, something that blew his dad Ethan Hawke away.
Apparently, when she was younger and on a date to lose her virginity, Maya remembers getting in big trouble with her dad because she lied to him, using just about the worst excuse she could think of. .
Maya told Cohen and Cranston, “I lied. I said I was going to therapy and I really went to lose my virginity. I can’t believe I just said that. My father was very upset.
She admitted that Ethan gave her “a very difficult time” to figure out where she was for the evening, “He went, ‘Where have you been? Where have you been?’ And I said, ‘How am I supposed to have secrets if I can’t lie?’ »
It also impressed Cohen who then told Maya, “I would think, knowing your father, he actually respected that.” Maya confirmed it, as she told Cohen, “He did! He was like, ‘F–k that kid!’ He was like, ‘Oh, that’s good.’ “
