Barbie’s press tour has officially begun.

Robbie, who stars as Barbie herself, was snapped in multiple poses in the pink outfit. In one photo, the Aussie actress stood next to a parked pink convertible on a beautiful street in Beverly Hills.

She wore a matching pink bralette and pleated miniskirt, and pink peep toe heels to complete the cut. Robbie accessorized with a pink handbag on her arm and styled her blonde hair in sleek curls that flowed over her shoulders.

During an April interview with BAFTA which was reported by IndieWire, Margot revealed that she didn’t believe the film would actually be made. The actress, who is also the film’s producer, said she read the script and was immediately won over to the project.

She said: “The first time I read the script for Barbie my reaction was, ‘Ah! It’s so good. What a pity that it will never see the light of day because they will never let us make this film. But they did.

Robbie and his co-star Ryan Gosling (who plays Ken) first announced the press tour on social media. They shared a video confirming that the tour will visit London, Canada, Berlin, Los Angeles, Mexico, New York and Seoul. The movie “Barbie” will officially premiere in Australian theaters on July 20 and in US and UK theaters on July 21.

According to what director Greta Gerwig has released about the film so far, it follows Barbie on an adventure into the human world with Ken. The film has a budget of $100 million and began shooting in 2022 at Warner Bros. Studios. in England and outdoor spaces in Los Angeles.

The movie started gaining traction on social media when teaser photos of the cast were first released, and Gerwig has kept the details under tight security. It’s since gained traction with many forecasted trends around the premiere and the “release war” continuing with Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” coming out the same day.

During vogue interview in May, Robbie revealed that she and Gerwig wanted the film to speak to fans and haters of the iconic Mattel dolls. She said: “Of course we would like to honor the 60 year legacy of this brand. But we must recognize that there are many people who are not Barbie fans.

The ‘Suicide Squad’ actress also opened up about the sexualization of Barbie doll and how she’s dealt with it in the movies. She said, “I’m like, okay, it’s a doll. It’s a plastic doll. She has no organs. If she has no organs, she has no reproductive organs. If she has no reproductive organs, would she even feel sexual desire? No, I don’t think she can.

Robbie further explained that the Barbie doll can be sexualized but “should never be sexy”. The doll only wears tiny, short clothes “because it’s fun and pink.” Not because she wanted you to see her ass.
