Living with Kelly and Mark is not so alive and not so much Kelly and Mark because it’s Kelly and Ryan in the midst of fan complaints about too much PDA between the show’s new hosts!
Living with Kelly and who?
The popular morning talk show focused on longtime host Kelly Ripa and her new co-host, husband Mark Consuelos. But all week there have been reruns of Live with Kelly and Ryan. As fans will recall, Seacrest left the show at the peak of the year.
He was focused on his other jobs as the host of American Idol, his radio show Live with Ryan Seacrest; And Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve. He also has a charitable foundation, Ryan Seacrest Foundation Studios, which he wanted to devote more time to.
Fans first speculated that the duo had a falling out and that Seacrest was making a quick exit because, Ripa has seniority and was the star anyway, and look what’s going on.
Living with Kelly and Mark underperforming
The addition of Consuelos was exciting at first for fans, but they soon realized the pair were a little too in love for their morning coffee. They took to social media by storm calling out the overuse of PDAs and sharing too many details at home.
“Kelly and Mark’s show is just stupid! This morning they were talking about how Mark snores at night! Had to change the channel instantly at my work,” one family tweeted.
A second fan tweeted. “I don’t see this show lasting…I’m not interested in watching a NY Housewives spin-off….”
Some people have admitted that they never wanted Consuelos as a replacement, and they could have predicted the show would turn into that!
Where are the live episodes?
Fans took to Twitter to share their displeasure with the live broadcast not being live at all. “Wow it’s now 6 straight days of Live with Kelly & Mark except it’s not live (previously recorded) and no Mark. It’s the old shows with Ryan Seacrest. And if you look introduce the day, the mouth is not in tune with the words, so they doubled today’s date. WTF??”
Another fan agreed. “They haven’t done a whole week of live shows since Mark started. They should rename it live a few times a month or random live mornings with Kelly and Mark.
Today, another fan expected it to turn out like this. “OH MY GOD!! Another day of Live with Kelly & Mark, except it says ‘previously taped’ so it’s 5 days in a row. Aren’t they doing live shows anymore?”
Ryan Seacrest is doing great
Meanwhile, in the corner of Seacrest Forest, life seems to be going well. This week, he announced he would be taking over from Pat Sajak as host of Wheel of Fortune. The longtime host announced her retirement and Seacrest landed another job.
Seacrest’s reign to begin in 2024 “I look forward to continuing the tradition of turning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White,” Seacrest wrote on Twitter.
