Kourtney Kardashian gave in to her pregnancy cravings – even when they didn’t follow her dietary restrictions.
The enclosure kardashians star, 44, is famous for preferring a clean diet and staying gluten-free. However, in the middle of her fourth pregnancy (her first child with her husband Travis Barker), she decided to indulge in her gender reveal party, according to her lifestyle website Poosh.
“In an unprecedented move, Kourtney has declared NO DIETARY RESTRICTIONS,” revealed a recap of Poosh’s party on Sunday, July 2. “She just wanted to have the most delicious food possible and address her pregnancy cravings.”
The menu of Boss K includes “nachos, popcorn, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, hot dogs, sliders, pizza” and more. Kardashian also made sure to have “vegan options of everything for Travis” at the gender reveal party on June 24, where they learned they were having a boy.
Ahead of her nuptials to the drummer in May 2022, Kardashian welcomed children Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, 8, with ex Scott Disick. Meanwhile, Barker, 47, shares son Landon, 19, and daughter Alabama, 17, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. The rock star is also a father figure to Atiana, 24, Moakler’s daughter with oscar de la hoya.
Kardashian announced the news of her pregnancy at drummer Blink-182’s concert in Los Angeles on June 16, holding up a “Travis, I’m Pregnant” poster (a tribute to the band’s “All the Small Things” music video).
They revealed their baby’s gender a week later. Barker played drums, sending a bunch of blue streamers flying through the air.
“Little boy drummer coming soon,” the Lemme founder later captioned photos from the event via Instagram.
The reveal party was only scheduled 48 hours in advance, reports Poosh. The couple called event planner Corrie Mendes two nights before settling the details.
The intimate gathering quickly came together, with balloons, baby’s breath flowers and Travis’ drums serving as the backdrop. Blink-182 Production Designer John McGuire designed the stage and the audience watched from wooden stadium seats set up around road crates.
Many guests guessed Kardashian was carrying a baby girl, so the blue streamers came as a big surprise — but the departure from her usual gluten- and dairy-free diet was perhaps the biggest shock. Kardashian opened up about how her dietary restrictions help her family feel healthier.
She said Health Review in 2020, “At home, we are gluten-free and dairy-free; my skin is very sensitive and if i eat dairy products it affects it. I love doing a keto diet, even though I don’t now. I noticed that my body was changing for the better.
The eldest of the Kardashian-Jenner brothers has always been health conscious. During her second pregnancy in 2012, Kardashian explained to We Weekly that she avoided any heated food. “I don’t eat leftovers, we don’t freeze meat in our house, we keep everything super fresh, and I don’t reheat things because bacteria can grow on them,” she said at the time. “I try to eat as fresh, organic and healthy as possible.”
