
Their new normal. Khloe Kardashian made it clear where she stood with her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson following his paternity scandal – and explained how the couple have remained focused on co-parenting.
“Tristan and I always get along very well. He and I have a nice friendly relationship. We get along well, and for my children, I will put everything aside. What’s done is done, so why should I still cling to [past drama] for?” Khloé, 38, who shares daughter True, 5, and son Tatum, 10 months, with the 32-year-old athlete, explained during a new episode of The Kardashianswhich began airing on Thursday, June 8.
The reality star said she’s taken important steps to stay cordial with Tristan, adding, “I don’t need to punish him because I’m not getting back together with him.”
According to Khloé, the couple was able to maintain a healthy relationship thanks to the “boundaries” she put in place.
“If I’m not there, he’s there. I’d rather he be here than a nanny,” she told Kris Jenner. “There are still boundaries. Like, I’ve definitely set foot on a lot of things. here if there are no kids involved. It’s always about the kids and that’s what it is. But we don’t hang out alone.
The Good American co-founder also made it clear that she wouldn’t reconsider getting back together with Tristan.
“Those boundaries are so important to put in place with Tristan because we’ve done this song and danced it a handful of times before. I got back with him after an infidelity scandal, so I don’t know if Tristan feels like, ‘Oh wow, let’s go and she’ll get back to me eventually,'” Khloé explained in a confessional. “So I understand why he may think that – so it’s my job to set boundaries that my actions show otherwise. I keep it very short and sweet, and make sure he knows it’s all about the kids. I can’t let these old habits come easily into my life. It’s just not what I want.

The former couple started dating in September 2016 and announced they were expecting a child together a year later. Days before their daughter True arrived in 2018, the NBA player was accused of cheating on his then-pregnant girlfriend with multiple women.
After staying together for the first time, Khloé and Tristan broke up in February 2019 after kissing Kylie Jennerformer best friend Jordyn Woods. We Weekly confirmed in August 2020 that the couple are giving their romance another shot. Less than a year later, however, they split up again. The duo gave it another try at the end of 2021 before ending it for good.
During the filming of season 1 of The Kardashians, news broke that the former Sacramento Kings player was being sued by Maralee Nichols for alimony. In January 2022, Tristan admitted he was the father of the fitness model’s son, Theo, after previously requesting genetic testing.
We confirmed that Khloé and Tristan welcomed their second child via surrogate – a process they began planning before the Canada native’s personal life hit the headlines and before the revenge body host learning about Maralee’s pregnancy. During Season 3, the TV personality candidly opened up about how her issues with Tristan affected her early days as a mother of two.
“I definitely buried my head in the sand during this pregnancy that I couldn’t digest what was going on. So I think when I went to the hospital that was the first time it happened. was really registering,” she shared in a May episode about the process of connecting with her little one. “It has nothing to do with the baby.”
