As Ron DeSantis continues to be criticized by both Democrats and Republicans for his ongoing war with Disney, Colorado Governor Jared Polis has offered a bet that may help DeSantis.
In a cheeky tweet posted to the official Polis Twitter account, the Democratic governor spiced up the upcoming NBA Finals rivalry between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets by adding the fate of Walt Disney World into the mix. Polis also took a not-so-subtle swipe at DeSantis for attacking one of the state of Florida’s biggest job creators and tax revenue earners.
“Call @GovRonDeSantis and @Disney for a friendly bet,” Polis tweeted. “If the @nuggets win the final against the @MiamiHEAT, Disney World will move to Colorado, the happiest place in the world to do business, have fun and be free! #ColoradoForAll”
Despite the heat on both sides, DeSantis actually touted his fight with Disney as a testament to his genuine conservative good faith. While in Iowa recently, DeSantis attacked Trump for his ‘left shift’ on social issues, while the Florida governor stuck to his ‘Don’t Say Gay’ initiative, which sparked controversy. battle with Disney.

He spoke of signing a six-week abortion ban, seeking the death penalty for those convicted of child sex abuse and “even sending illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard”.
Mr. DeSantis injected more bits of his biography into his emerging strain speech than he did in his pre-nomination. He cited his mother’s job as a nurse, his father’s installation of Nielsen evaluation boxes, and his own minimum wage jobs.
“I wasn’t given anything,” Mr. DeSantis said.
However, DeSantis’ relentless stance on culture war issues has yet to put him ahead of Trump in the polls. The former president could face a myriad of legal issues, but that has yet to soften his support among the Republican base.
