Chris Evans is aiming to detox his mind this summer! Fans may forget about receiving ‘Captain America’ updates as the Marvel star conducts a social media cleanup.
The Hollywood sensation is one of the sexiest men in the entertainment industry, known for captivating millions with his timeless looks. As well as his good looks, the 42-year-old has the skills to match his more than two-decade career in film.
Despite his many accomplishments, the Boston native isn’t leaving his pedestal anytime soon. To ensure his continued success, the “Ghosted” actor quit his internet use to realign his attention to the world outside of his phone screen.
Chris Evans bids fans an emotional farewell as he takes a break from social media

The ‘Avengers: Endgame’ star recently announced that he’s joining the ever-growing list of celebrities cutting back on their social media interactions. The Young Hollywood Award nominee has informed fans of the temporary deactivation of his Twitter and Instagram accounts on both platforms.
On his IG Story, the 42-year-old revealed that the departure of fellow actor Taron Egerton inspired his decision. Evans applauded the ‘Kingsman’ star’s heartfelt goodbye message, sharing the post while echoing similar sentiments regarding his need for an internet break.
The impassioned note explained that social media had lost its purpose, becoming a “cycle” that was “a bit addictive”. Frequently browsing the content, several important values were lost in the sea of fascinating publications.
“I feel like my the ability to sit and be present and read books and watch movies and even seek the company of people I love is eroding as a result,” the post read, noting that More productive activities could be done without social media distractions.
The motivational note continued, “I feel a bit distant from myself. And when it comes to work, I know I can do more, and IG is one of the many obstacles that keep me from getting there.
In the post, the positive nature of social media was highlighted, especially how fans could express their love for their favorite actors through the platform. However, this rainbow was not enough to hide the disadvantages of interactive sites.

“Thank you all for saying such nice things all the time. I appreciate it so much, but I need to read the minds of strangers for a while; I’m not sure this stuff is very good for anyone of us,” the powerful message concluded.
The lengthy confessional apparently captured the ‘Knives Out’ actor’s thoughts as he enjoyed the post on a sweet note. “I couldn’t have said it better myself!!! Count on me. I’m going to take a little break. Lots of love, everyone!” the Boston native chimed in overlay text.
Additionally, the Teen Choice Award winner confirmed his hiatus on Twitter, noting that social media detox was his gift to himself this summer. Evans’ last message read, “Hi everyone, I’m treating myself to summer with less screen time, so I’m taking a little break from Twitter and IG. See you soon! Lots of love!”
Following her farewell messages, the ‘Captain America: Civil War’ star has deactivated her social media accounts. This meant fans would no longer be blessed with fun relationship updates from the Boston native and his partner, Alba Baptista.
Marvel star and her lover keep their chemistry burning with hilarious pranks

Months before announcing his social media hiatus, the Hollywood heartthrob made headlines for his adorable relationship with his girlfriend. Earlier in January, the 42-year-old shared a video compilation of his fun times with Baptista from 2022.
The ‘Not Another Teen Movie’ star, who has had her fair share of relationship troubles, seemed happy in her romance with the young actress. As seen in the footage, captioned ‘A look back at 2022’, the couple prank each other eight times.
The events took place in what appeared to be the couple’s home and hotel rooms. Evans liked to tease the Portuguese actress; however, the 25-year-old didn’t crack his jokes in the latest clip.
When the People’s Choice Award winner tried to scare Baptista as she walked down the hall, the “Warrior Nun” laughed and shouted, “I knew it!” The heartwarming video marked the first time the actor shared anything about his new relationship on social media.
News of the duo’s romance broke in November 2022 after paparazzi spotted the lovebirds enjoying some PDA moments while strolling through Central Park. Additionally, sources claimed the couple had been together for “over a year” while Evans was “happier than ever.”
