Chris Hemsworth returns as the God of Thunder, and one of the villains is ready to take him down. The actor returns as Thor in the latest Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder. In the new trailer released on Monday (23/5/2022), Christian Bale’s action is also shown.
Bale plays the evil Gorr the God Butcher. A clip from the trailer was first released in Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Director Taika Waititi tells the story of the extraterrestrial Viking, Thor Odinson, who saves planet Earth for the 500th time.
Before embarking on a new journey, Thor was also back in shape. He got really fat in Avengers: Endgame. In the trailer, Hemsworth performs unusually grueling scenes, including dragging the entire spaceship in heavy chains before grabbing his Mjölnir hammer.
The hammer then slips out of Thor’s reach and flies into the clutches of Dr Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman. Fire previously showed off a new silver winged helmet as Mighty Thor.
The trailer also reveals Bale as the villain Gorr who swears that “all gods will die”. On Sunday, Hemsworth took to social media to share his excitement about his new film.
“This trailer will blow your mind away. It’s something I’m very proud of. This film is amazing. I can’t wait for the fans to see it. It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever had the pleasure and honor of doing,” said the aged actor. 38 years.
Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Thor series. The film also stars Tessa Thompson and Russell Crowe as well as Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista from Guardians of the Galaxy.
