Enough explanation from me and hopefully useful for all of us.
How Old Is Scott Lang In Every Ant-Man Movie? Ms. Marvel’s second episode jokes about Scott Lang’s seemingly eternal youth, but how old is Ant-Man in each MCU movie he’s appeared in? Ms. Marvel episode 2 jokes about Scott Lang’s eternal youth – but how old is Ant-Man in each of his MCU appearances? Considering Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is a massive fan of the superheroes that inhabit her world, it’s no surprise that similar memes that appear in reality have been referenced in the show. Paul Rudd’s eternal youth has become a long-standing joke in contemporary culture that has now crossed over into the MCU, but it does raise the question of whether Scott Lang’s age has ever been confirmed in the franchise.
Ms. Marvel episode 2, “Crushed,” Kamala and her friend Bruno (Matt Lintz) engage in a fun training montage to establish the extent of Kamala’s new powers. Later, in a scene set at Kamala’s school, she and Bruno discuss what Kamala has been practicing on her own time, and she mentions that she’s “tried to shrink, and fly, and talk to ants.” When asked why she thought she might have powers like Scott Lang’s, she replied, “because we’re both charming and we look a lot younger than we are.” This wasn’t the first mention of Ant-Man in Ms. Marvel, as the previous episode also explained that Scott Lang has a podcast in which he interviews his fellow superheroes, explaining how the general public seems to know so much about the final battle from Avengers: Endgame.
Paul Rudd was first cast as Scott Lang for his solo origin movie in 2015’s Ant-Man, which sees Scott Lang try to turn his life around after being released from prison so that he can spend more time with his daughter Cassie. In the process, he becomes a superhero, taking over the Ant-Man moniker and suit from Hank Pym. Ant-Man is later introduced into the Avengers roster in Captain America: Civil War and reappears in Ant-Man and The Wasp and Avengers: Endgame. Interestingly enough, Scott Lang’s age in the MCU has never actually been confirmed, but there is room for speculation. Considering Paul Rudd’s youthful appearance and the character’s personal history, Scott Lang could technically be anywhere between the ages of 30 to 53 throughout the MCU, the latter of which is Paul Rudd’s actual age now, as he was born in 1969.
Marvel Studios debuted a first look at the film during their SDCC Hall H panel. While the footage has yet to be released, it contained some interesting tidbits. Scott Lang is pleased with himself for saving the world, enjoying his celebrity status when his daughter Cassie is arrested. After agreeing to help with his experiments, Cassie is sucked into the Quantum Realm. Scott follows Cassie into the Quantum Realm where he eventually runs into Kang. Ant-Man tells Kang, “I’m an Avenger.” Kang simply replies: “I’m a conqueror.”
Ant-Man 3 will spend a lot of time in the Quantum Realm, it seems like audiences may be in for even more surprises. Bill Murray could also be seen in the footage, quite possibly as MODOK, although that is unconfirmed. With that kind of surprise shown this early, though, it’s possible Quantumania could pull a Multiverse of Madness.
